Chelsea, Josh, and Joshua Henry’s maternity pictures
Posted by: | CommentsThis is Chelsea and Josh, and Joshua Henry, who is coming any day now! They live on a beautiful farm near Monett, and wanted pictures of them and their dog on the farm. I thought, “Sweet! Cute couple, quaint farm, baby momma with gorgeous eyes, AND a doggie! I can dig this!”

Lindze, Landon, and Koah’s Maternity session!
Posted by: | CommentsHow did I get so lucky as to have such good-lookin’ people up on my blog…not once, but twice! I don’t know….but I’ll take it! 
We shot Lindze and Landon’s wedding last year in January, and now Baby Koah is due, like, *anydaynow*. Isn’t that a sweet name? It’s Hawaiian (“Koa”), with an H so it wouldn’t be like Kampgrounds Across America. lol…and I believe it is also the name of a pro surfer. Lindze and Landon went surfing in California a few years ago and loved it. So there you go; it became their baby boy’s name!
I went out to their house to get these shots. They had great light and lots to work with. As I told them, it’s great for them because they don’t have to go anywhere, they end up feeling more comfortable, and it’s just more personal and memorable. (And it’s great for me because I get to play with new backgrounds!) Well, Lindze is, as you can plaunly see, absolutely gorgeous in every picture I’ve ever taken of her. She makes my camera look good, lol! And Landon said he wasn’t sure what to do at first, but I think he looks pretty relaxed. I try to remind our clients during shoots to “just get comfortable” (I say that a lot), and the pictures will end up looking great if they just do their thing. So I think he pulled it off pretty well, don’t you?
Lacy, Matthew, and Branch!
Posted by: | CommentsMy friend Lacy is having her baby today!! To celebrate, here are some of their maternity pictures from a few weeks ago. (Okay, so I was planning on putting these up today anyway, and it’s just a coincidence that Branch is popping out today, too!)
We went to a little spot on the Finley River for these. Lacy & Matthew were great models & easy to work with. Branch was a pretty good model, too. Afterwards, we had all intended on swimming….but it was too shallow, and COLD! However, Lacy & I braved the mini rapids for a little sit in the water, as you’ll see in a few pics at the end that her Matthew took. I loved the deep contrast of lighting from their photo session! They all looked great in black and white because of it. I’m thinking I may have to do a little black and white sample album, including pictures of Branch from the outside of momma’s tummy!
I love the way he was looking at her while she was fixing her hair!
We played around with some silk fabric….Special thanks to Matthew for arranging it just right!

Nicholette Ross and Almost Born Baby
Posted by: | CommentsLast week, we got to take pictures of these three….it was so sweet to see the love this adorable husband & wife have for each other. Matt & I got to share in their joy for a few hours while we took their pictures. Nicholette is due any day now, and then we’ll get to take baby pictures, too! Here’s a few from the maternity session:
